How to Use Binance Smart Chain in MetaMask

Click on the Add to Brave button, and the extension will be added to your browser.

Create an Account in MetaMask for BSC

Step 1: Click on the Create a Wallet button if you do not have an account.

Step 2: Create a password of at least eight characters to secure your MetaMask plugin.

How to Connect MetaMask to Ledger Nano X

The team at CoinGyan suggest Ledger Nano X over Nano S because the former has extra storage options, and it is also better for mobile devices because of the Bluetooth connectivity option and a bigger screen. Not to forget that it is the second generation of Ledger wallet.

Step 1: Click on the MetaMask extension from the top right corner of the browser.

You can now check your Ledger hardware wallet account and can use it for any BEP20 transactions on the BSC chain as well as DeFi platforms like PancakeSwap.

Note: The address where your coins are held is provided by the Ledger Nano X and not MetaMask. You will have the same address if you will connect MetaMask to other wallets that support Binance Smart Chain.

How to Send BEP20 Tokens To Your MetaMask Wallet

The BEP20 represents the token standard on the Binance Smart Chain developed with an objective to extend the scope of ERC 20 tokens (most common Ethereum standard token).

Step 1: Navigate to the BscScan and find out the contract number of the specific BEP20 token you want to send.

For example, if you want to send ETH, then you can click on the Binance-Peg Ethereum Token (ETH) and copy the contract address as appearing under the Profile Summary.

Step 2: Go to MetaMask and click on the Add Token button.

Once the information is fetched, then you can click on Next and add your token to MetaMask.
